Many suppliers will just dust a used printer, clean it up a bit, run a test print or two, and slap a sales tag on it. That's not the way we do it at The Printer Works! Of course, we clean the printers. But with us, that is only the beginning—

Our expert technicians go over every printer thoroughly, inside and out. They are skilled in identifying and stopping potential problems before they happen, and we have custom-engineered equipment that enables them to calibrate printer assemblies to higher than factory standards. They install all the parts that come in the maintenance kit for each printer, to make certain that all key components are new. Read more on our repair and refurbishment processes.
The Printer Works selects only the best used printers with low page counts and good cosmetics for its remanufactured printer program. Unless the printer is hardly used, we remove all the covers and major assemblies to clean and inspect the entire paper path from the first pick-up rollers and separation pads to delivery rollers at the output hopper. All internal mechanical assemblies such as fusers and paper-input units are individually remanufactured by specialists, and then tested by our QC people. Mechanical drive trains are lubricated as necessary. Any worn or hardened paper-feed and transfer rollers are replaced with new OEM rollers, or aftermarket replacements if OEM parts are not available. All electronic interfaces and user settings are set to the factory defaults.

Unless the main logic board needs to be changed, in which case the engine page count and serial number should be migrated to the new formatter, our technicians are instructed to never change the printer page counts. We are so confident about the quality of our remanufactured printers that we offer the equivalent of a new printer warranty, which is typically one-year and limited to parts and labor at our facilities.

The Printer Works also includes remanufactured toner cartridges with all monochrome and color laser printers at no extra cost!

Long experience gives us the ability to find and fix the things that could affect page flow and print quality, and that's what we do. Only then will we let you buy it— we want your printer to give you trouble-free service for a long, long time!
We pack our printers in sturdy professional packaging for shipping, and make sure they include the correct tray(s), remanufactured toner, and a power cord (please see Notes at right). Then we back them with our own One Year Warranty, as well as technical support.

And the support doesn't even stop there! Once you have your like-new printer, we make it easy for you to keep it that way economically with preventive maintenance. Our maintenance kits and roller kits are carefully compiled for each printer type. They are easy to order, easy to install. We include full instructions with every kit.
