The LaserJet 4V and 4MV

The LaserJet 4V and 4MV are among the best print solutions for individuals and businesses who are looking for crisp text and great-looking graphics, want the ability to print a range of media from 5 x 7 index cards up to full-bleed on 11" x 17" paper, and still have the convenience of desktop-sized printer. With a 33 MHx RISC processor and a 16 ppm engine, speed is also a given in the 4V and 4MV!

The LaserJet 4V will support your Windows/DOS workgroup with ease. Its fast Bi-Tronics parallel port with built-in I/O quickly frees users' computers after they send print jobs. It also has an empty MIO slot for JetDirect and other third party interface cards, and has Enhanced PCL 5 standard. Adobe PostScript Level 2 can be added with a SIMM.

The LaserJet 4MV is a network-ready whizz, offering its outstanding performance to Macintosh and mixed platform workgroups. It has a built-in HP Jet Direct interface card for Ethernet/LocalTalk that supports up to 12 network operating systems, and comes equipped with genuine Adobe PostScript Level 2.

Language: 4V— enhanced PCL 5. Optional Adobe PostScript. 4MV— comes preconfigured with PostScript Level 2 as well. Additional language support: ProPrinters/Epson. Automatic language switching.
Interfaces: Bi-Tronics, MIO 6.0. Optional AppleTalk I/O.
Automatic network switiching is standard in the 4MV with a built-in HP JetDirect internal print server. The 4MV supports Macintosh or mixed operating system network with 12 users! JetDirect card optional in the 4V version.
Economode saves toner. Power-save mode saves energy.
